KRUGER NATIONAL PARK

Spent a week in Kruger where we had some great sightings.

This was the first time that we saw a cheetah which was sitting in the middle of the road just outside Satara.

The sighting was however spoiled by other cars pushing in and chasing the cheetah away.

RIETVLEI NATURE RESERVE

A few weeks ago we took a trip out to Rietvlei. A good day out and some lovely sightings.

PILANESBERG GAME RESERVE

Spent a few days in the Pilanesberg Game Reserve recently where we captured these shots. After the recent rains, the grass was rather long which hindered the spotting of animals, but we were lucky enough to see nine of the eleven cheetahs in the park. We spent en enjoyable afternoon at the Mankwe bird hide overlooking the Mankwe dam, where we watched as a small egret ran around catching small fish.

MARIEVALE BIRD SANCTUARY

Marievale is a wetland situated south east of Johannesburg in South Africa. It is home to numerous bird species and is particularly active during the summer months. Here are a few images taken there over the last few visits.
